syngo.via1 contains open source software and freeware developed by third parties. This software is protected by copyright. Your rights to use this software beyond the mere execution of Siemens’ program is governed by the respective license conditions.
Your compliance with those license conditions will entitle you to use the open source software / freeware as foreseen in the relevant license. In the event of conflicts between Siemens license conditions and the open source software or freeware license conditions, the open source software or freeware conditions shall prevail with respect to the open source / freeware portions of the software. The open source software or freeware is licensed royalty-free (i.e., no fees are charged for exercising the licensed rights, whereas fees may be charged for reimbursement of costs incurred by SIEMENS). Warranty regarding further use of the open source software / freeware:
SIEMENS provides no warranty for the open source software and freeware programs contained syngo.via if such programs are used in any manner other than the program execution intended by SIEMENS. The licenses listed below define the warranty, if any, from the authors or licensors of the open source software / freeware. SIEMENS specifically disclaims any warranties for defects caused by altering any such software program or the product’s configuration. You have no warranty claims against SIEMENS in the event that the open source software or freeware infringes the intellectual property rights of a third party. Technical support, if any, will only be provided for unmodified software.
1syngo.via can be used as a stand-alone device or together with a variety of syngo.via-based software options which are medical devices on their own rights.
